About HisaabHub

HisaabHub is a free resource for people who need a clear answer to a money or compliance question in the UAE or Saudi Arabia. “Hisaab” means calculation or account in Arabic and Urdu, and that is the whole idea: give people the number they need, show how it was worked out, and point to the rule behind it.

Why we built it

Rules in the Gulf change often, and they tend to arrive with a deadline. In the last two years alone, the UAE announced mandatory e-invoicing, changed its VAT penalty regime and extended corporate tax relief for small businesses, while Saudi Arabia amended its Labor Law and kept rolling out e-invoicing waves.

Most of the information online is either written for accountants or written to sell a service. We wanted something in between: tools a business owner or employee can use in a minute, with the explanation underneath for anyone who wants to understand the result.

Who is behind HisaabHub

HisaabHub is built and run by Ishaq Khokhar. Ishaq has worked in search and web publishing since 2018, and from 2025 to 2026 he was CTO and head of SEO at a Dubai-based digital agency. He built HisaabHub to make Gulf compliance rules easier to find, understand and act on.

Ishaq is not a lawyer or a registered tax agent, and HisaabHub does not give legal or tax advice. What we do is read the primary sources, such as Federal Decree-Laws, Cabinet Resolutions, Ministerial Decisions and official FTA, ZATCA and ministry guidance, and turn them into calculators and explanations that are accurate and easy to follow.

How we keep things accurate

  • Primary sources first. Every calculator and guide is built from the law or official guidance, and each page lists its sources.
  • Dates on everything. Each page shows when it was last updated, and each calculator shows when its rules were last checked.
  • Updates when rules change. When a rate, threshold or deadline changes, we update the calculator first and then the guides that mention it.
  • Corrections. If you spot an error, let us know. We fix mistakes quickly and note significant corrections.

You can read more in how we calculate and our editorial policy.

How HisaabHub is funded

The site is free to use and is supported by advertising. Advertisers have no say over what we write, and ads are kept out of the calculators themselves. We do not accept payment to recommend service providers.
